Okay, so I was on eBay today looking at JDM engine costs. I really love my car, and think that this would just be the easiest way to make her run again.
The engine I found costs $2400, but has free shipping, and includes:
TT motor
5-spd AWD trans
wiring
ECU
turbos
power steering pump
starter
A/C compressor
Alternator
exhaust manifold
intake manifold
distributor
Throttle Body
injectors
Xfer case
clutch
flywheel
pressure plate.

My basic question is... How much would it cost me to finish the AWD conversion?
And, is this a good deal? Are they to be trusted?

Here's the link to the eBay page.

Main thing I would worry about is if you're gonna be able to get it in the car and driven a reasonable amount within their warranty period.  I've heard these engines are 50-50.  But that's just what I heard.  Almost considered one myself, when I thought I was gonna have time and money for a project car (and, of course, now I don't).

Eh, but I bought this car thinking about how much fun it would be as a project.
So the hassle's not really a very big deal for me.
Besides, it'd end up costing me more to buy a VR-4 that would be in good enough condition to DD than it would to fix this car up.
AND, I've grown quite attached to her Smiley

So you can sympathize with my desire to spend ungodly amounts of money on it.

Exactly.
You did a 2nd gen conversion, and before you even had it on you were buying a 3rd gen Cianci piece.
