I have come to the conclusion that too many 3kgt/Stealth owners out there do not have copies of the manuals. Every day I see more and more people asking questions and those individuals are referred to the manuals for the answer. Most of them don't own the manuals and have no clue where to get them. For some time I've had copies of my electronic manuals hosted on my server so that I could access them anytime I needed. I found out the hard way that giving out those links on this forum was a copyright violation "Whoops!!"
Well I still want to make the manuals available for reference as needed. Since I own the manuals and the server they are hosted off of I am able to load the manuals in a read only format. This has posed a problem since they are all in PDF format which allows anyone who can view them to download them and save them. My Solution to the problem was to convert all PDF file to Flash Files. This enables me to Host the files in a Viewable Only format.
http://www.gonzoinc.com/GonzoInc/FileShare/Unfortunately due to the pdf to flash conversion there are a lot of functionality issues that had to be addresses.
1. Some of the manuals were too large to convert them into one flash file. i had to split the manuals up by chapters just so the converting program I built would convert them correctly.
2. Search feature is not possible within the flash player. All of the pages were converted to objects/images which a search engine cannot read. Without text there is nothing to search. This may make it a little harder to find things you are looking for.
3. Filenames are not yet fixed. The program I built was unable to read the actual chapters names from the pdf files. So I had to number them accordingly. The files are also out of sequence in the list due to how the program orders items with numbers. Over time I will be renaming the files to the actual chapters’ names to make it easy to browse.
4. Usually the first file is the cover image. The second or third file should be the TOC “Table Of Contents”. All of the files should open right to the TOC for that chapter. Some of the chapters had to be split into two files due to their size. Just look for the next file number for the rest of the chapter.
I will still be working on some minor details on the site. I also have more manuals that I need to get converted “ie Overhaul, DSM, etc”. I should have them up on the site over the next week or so.
If anyone sees any issues please click on the Help Desk link on the bottom of the site and submit a ticket with all details of the issue. This is the easiest way for me and my team to track bugs with the site.
I hope everyone enjoys the manuals!

Greg
